there are ~65k stars (256 ‘galaxy’ level nodes operating as governance roles, ~4.3b ‘planet’ level nodes for individual human users). stars are long term slated to be infrastructure level providers, helping with packet routing and peer discovery (this function is currently handled by galaxy nodes).

one of the most useful erc721s on eth. it’s the identity and pki for a p2p network and deterministic virtual machine. check out urbit.org for more, and/or follow @urbitfoundation. frankly it will beat out farcaster in the long run, but it’s fun to hang out here as well :)
