Been playing some twilight imperium to kick off the new year… anyone else play?

definitely an amazing game, took me around 3 games though to get a handle on the ruleset haha

definitely recommended! Took me awhile to warm up to but the politicking and trading at the table get super fun as the game goes on

games are super long, we had a 5-player game go 8 hours, and the 6 player game we’re doing in table top simulator takes around 1.5 hours a turn lmao

It is one that I have been interested in...but the long play time has made anyone in my close board game group unwilling to try it out...

If nothing changes, we plan to play on Sunday.

Probably average a play every 18months or so, would love to play more! We played an async over Christmas though using the discord server, it took us about 3 weeks. It was a lot of fun, I had Nomads, one of the expansion factions who seemed very flexible. Hope you have a good game! 🚀

it's been a long time since I've played, but that background mat is sick! Player boards look like a new edition than the one I was playing too.
