So are people really having a difficult time bridging between ecosystems? Its come along way..and yeah its not perfect, especially since sometimes you might have to use two apps..but I think its pretty easy and affordable to get just about anywhere. This coming from someone that pretty much refuses to use mainnet.

I am, at times. Routes from rollup 1 to rollup 2 often involve a combination of high fees, long waits, and trusting thirdparties.

I'm a rollup addict, but in my ideal world:
1) fees would be in the $1 range, maybe $5 range top, regardless of size
2) wait would be limited to couple hours max
3) route would be native

Across is super fast and extremely cheap. You can use Jumper.Exchange or Bungee.Exchange to bridge between L2s. They find you the best route.

With token standards like xERC20s and OFTs, we’ll see cheaper bridging in the future. 

Of course, this standard is not for vanilla ETH, but for wstETH or rETH. 

Why would you hold 100ETH anyway :P

Right, those would be the thirdparties! 

I've used Across many times and I trust it alright, up to a point. I just have a harder time rolling the dice with bigger sums.

On a 100 ETH bridge right now, Across takes 0.053 ETH. That's quite a bit steeper than my desired $1 😅
