Amazon this morning: - 10 minutes to find a path that didn't lead to a dead end to speak to support. - Asking for a refund on out of date product that in discovery states you are purchasing from actual brand store but in fine text below is given by a small business. Horrible discovery, horrible support but no need to improve - people are locked in and monetising working nicely. Such a pet peeve when UX is foregone.

Yes Amazon is an interesting one Early on, Bezos had a huge commitment to excellence and customer happiness, keeping prices low on books even when he didn’t have to. He was very inspired by the Costco/Sol Price model of things, and I am a big fan of early days Amazon and their relentless focus on keeping prices low and customers happy. But at some point things changed. It is now one of the most customer hostile platforms on the internet whenever your intent is not to buy a thing as quickly as possible. I hope there will be a documentary about it someday
