This is likely. We are in peak season of the weather dampening people’s spirits

Spent last summer between Madrid and London, in Madrid my toddler got used to everyone saying hi to him, literally everyone old and young

Landed at Heathrow and he tried waving to people and not a single person waved back. Think the first wave was a week in, incidentally the lady that waved back was from Spain

I blame the weather, makes people default miserable
