If you're in an active Telegram group with 100% people who are on Farcaster, i.e. you created the group as a result of meeting people on Farcaster — what's stopping you for from moving to a group DC? Specific feedback would be really helpful!

1) perf: tg is super fast and responsive, wc still feels slow and clunky (realize unfair comp bc of web v native, but still) 2) lots of little things: grouping, per user read receipts, forwarding, editing, message previewing (long press to peak), mute for [n] time, etc

He’s gotta drop that expo and get close to metal. React native skia + gesture handler.

@eulerlagrange.eth has a lot of opinions on React Native performance without having built an at-scale app :)

My cofounder has :) Expo is always behind in what versions of these packages it supports. If you want to get the most out of RN, you have to get close to the metal.

got any examples of expo being behind right now? you can use EAS Build without ejecting from expo and install native modules and write your own swift/kotlin code so i say that's as close to metal as you can get without ditching react native altogether

I don’t use it so not up to date since I last checked. Last I checked reanimated had issues with newer versions. May have been fixed. Also debugging native libraries in expo is a shit show.

Also NoCap is really a marketing tool for us, we work on more serious stuff usually http://opacity.network

if that app is supposed to be marketing then you are doing yourself a big disservice. quick review here: https://wojtek.notion.site/nocap-review-9df28a9074af40be912701e5cb5b0217

On your note about marketing, it’s actually surpassed our expectations since it transitions the conversation from what zktls can do to look at what we are doing. I don’t have any regrets around sending out an early TestFlight.

you need a lot of context beforehand to know what’s going on. if it’s only meant to be a tech demo to show during a pitch then that’s fine — i wouldn’t release it as a standalone app in its current iteration
