Users with priority mode turned on, like priority mode. Users without the power badge, don’t like priority mode and want more visibility to users with priority mode turned on. Making power badge more permissive, increases spam. Makes everyone unhappy (except the spammers) Solve for X.

Power badge has flaws, but haven't seen a concrete proposal for a deterministic alternative to the power badge. Most suggestions for improvement are: "sounds like a hard problem, but whatever system you put in place should give me the power badge." :)

"Use X algorithm!" OK, so now you've made a new population of people happy / unhappy. Also, you've likely increased spammy users with the new badge.

"Use this proof-of-humanity signal!" The biometric ones don't have much adoption, esp. with interesting social media users. Also, biometric != you'll post interesting content. Can still be spammy with biometric. Then what?

personal POV: Power Badge is the best we have and good, allows anyone to grind for it by replying thoughtfully and often. aka Contributing to the network even before power badge and prepermissionless thats what you needed to do, didn't get what then was my active badge till after permissionless, same grind now

that same grind still works and I see it from people, using supercast also shows how many replies are just one word or emojis that I don't see on Warpcast. Yes some good ones, but ratio isn't high enough to remove priority mode for me on mobile when I have less time then on Desktop (supercast)
