If optimism were to go down, would Farcaster also go down?

I understand OP chain is used to associate FIDs with Ethereum addresses - I assume this would fail if OP had a liveness issue?

The account creation would be yes!

Also creating new signers and anything to do with that.

The protocol itself and existing keys can then still be used via Hubs as associated Keys and FIDs are also on Hubs
