Sometimes I just let Cursor using sonnet or o1 try to figure out what could be causing a bug just by looking at the code and me describing the behavior I'm trying to fix. It has never worked. They still work best for me as auto-complete, stackoverflow and multi-file editors on steroids.

have you used codebase context with cursor? pasting full error traces works like a charm in nextjs projects

Yeah they do help explain error messages. Most of the ones I provide are annoying Typescript type checks though. Rarely need to provide an error trace.
