Gonna start a new project and give Foundry a go again as the solidity dev tool. Every time I’ve tried in the past my velocity drops too much. As this is more of a side project hopefully I can spend more time with it

Last time I tried it was horrible. Dependency management was broken and somehow in between features. Writing tests was stifling as you mentioned. I feel like the barrier for entry is super high with foundry just to get something done.

How long ago was that? I’ve not seen issues with dep mgmt but yeah that tests feel super terse to write I’m gonna be using Claude for some help for sure

Couple of months ago you had Git submodules for some stuff and whatever registry for other stuff and the entire thing was just all over the place. You want your dependency management like the Chinese communist party. A single clear cut throat line without any exceptions. That is why I love Go and hate Javascript.
