Maybe not the best place to post so please tell me if so but does anyone have recommendations for solid home WiFi mesh networks?

I can’t comment on best but I would strongly advise against the Google line of routers! Connection is spotty at times but the worse offender imo is the increasingly crippling software capabilities. It started as its own app then got folded into Home and now loses options over time.

- OpenWrt gives you the most comprehensive spectrum control - Aruba and Ubiquiti do what OpenWrt allows you to do automatically Really, WiFi mesh is just bunch of access points using the same name and password. It does not need fancy features hardware wise. Most is gained by using non-default spectrum channels.

Synology WRX560 is excellent if you have a fast connection and want to maximize speeds. If you want more coverage at the cost of some speed, Netgear Orbi is quite good

Unifi APs are the best, but if you want cheaper ones but still very good quality, then TP-Link Deco is great. I switched to it now. Unifi is bulkier - great for a bigger house, for an apartment tp-link is more than enough
