Should we rebrand Warpcast to Farcaster? We separated Warpcast (the app) from Farcaster (the protocol) a few years ago. We've heard from many new users that this is very, very confusing. People hear about Farcaster, search in the app store, can't find anything called Farcaster and then churn.

Branding professional chiming in to say absolutely yes. Before even mentioning the name I have to address the fact that the branding should all be the Arch Gate logo as well with this change π . The Purple is and always has been one of the best organic brand signifiers (The Purple App!) and the arch is really strong. I'd say (personal opinion) the names were always too similar and would lead to confusion. At this point a consolidation seems to work best and as new clients emerge, with their own branding, this remains Farcaster, the OG client. I like @derek's suggestion of Farcaster (client) Farcaster API (protocol). Also while Warpcast is a cool product name, it feels off for what the product is. Warp implies something that just never seemed to fit or flow with the product in usage or branding, Iikely why so many people end up referring to it as Farcaster or FC. Cast btw, as has been discussed elsewhere, is EXCELLENT branding and should be highlighted at every turn.

Warp always implied the speed of change and innovative applications getting shipped. Warpcast is not twisted the only thing twisting is your neck as you try to keep an eye on all the new things blooming into existence all around you.

π―% on Warpcast/Farcaster being confusing and I'm happy this has been mentioned. Onboarding needs less confusion as anything new is confusing in itself. *Side note I prefer Warpcast but I think your right people refer to either one as Warp or FC (not the full name) Agree on the casting as that's incorporated into my terminology

Great points, agreed on almost everything. Iβd say the protocol name should be more different. It wonβt matter for most users but itβs an important part of the story so why confuse anyone with virtually the same name.
