Optimism is way more useful than realism or pessimism.

I mean in terms of how people will perceive you based in the use of these terms

To be clear I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with being a founder/entrepreneur/etc! Just think the term is cringey

In my mind “builder” literally means someone who doesn’t (or very possibly can’t) actually build (program, design, etc)

The problem isn’t the word, it’s the meaning - just embrace “entrepreneur” which at least is less pretentious. The things you don’t like about the term are part of your identity whether you want them to be or not so just own it

Is there anything preventing airlines from flying more slowly on west to east coast redeyes, so that you can get a reasonable nights sleep? Or is it just that nobody except me actually wants this

I meant crypto period - DNS would largely be reliable even without encryption. You do need public blockchains if you want immutability

You can just verify that the content is posted at a url controlled by the pope (eg, thepope.com or twitter.com/thepope) The pope can delete the post, but how important is that? Anyway it's obvious how this would play out in a world without crypto & that it would be fine. Doesn't mean it's not a good crypto use case

Only need for crypto is if you want the attestation to be immutable (otherwise a simple link will suffice)

1. You don't need crypto to do that 2. How do you know which account is the pope's?

Fraud is still just as big of a problem without reversible transactions. The question is who accepts liability

Just tried another similar prompt, except that i made up the person and attribute - got a hallucination. (The essay is real but it doesn't mention Sergey Brin) https://i.imgur.com/qLsMTE8.png

Does this mean that companies will gradually stop bothering to offer severance? https://www.vice.com/en/article/n7ewy7/non-disparagement-clauses-are-retroactively-voided-nlrbs-top-cop-clarifies

I think the anti-CCP sentiment in the US is largely toxic. That said, they ban all of our internet services so banning TikTok seems like fair play

Fed’s message should be “if the financial system crashes you’re just going to end up enslaved by some band of marauders, but sure, go buy bitcoin, let us know how that works out”
