Back when I was in school I made this decision matrix to help me choose between jobs when I graduated. 

Looking back at it I was obviously midwitting it but sharing here anyways in case it’s helpful

Reflecting on the two answers I’ve already dmed you, which probably were both bad ideas at the time. I think I could’ve just used one variable: working with kind, hard-working, mission oriented people.

At the time after talking to many people, I landed on having to pick out 2/3: People, product, pay. 

The people have to be good, I have to be interested in the product, or the pay must be good.

nah this is a great start, writing down what we know and sleeping on it is omniwit.

knowing the most important rows to include is the hard part, we don't know what we don't know.

When I was coming out of school,  I went with the first gig I could take (and stayed for 6 years)

I’m finally (almost 20 years after graduating) learning to do some research and keep focus on my inspiration for my next position.
