My grandpa was pretty tech savvy when he was alive, but now he has Alzheimer’s and goes to adult summer camp.

Recently he came home and he’s been tapping on the TV screen cuz at summer camp they get iPads 🤣

He was a man’s man growing up. Super masculine, never showed any emotions etc. but now he’s a bit softer. We don’t mind at all. He’s a bit like a house cat, does his own thing just needs to be fed and entertained. 

We got lucky he’s not aggressive or sexual or agitated so it’s easy to take care of him

the human mind is fascinating

I think my dad's losing it. He made toast at my house, couldn't figure out that he needed to rotate 90 degrees to toast the whole slices of bread. 

So he toasted what he could and then cut off the rest and threw it into my front garden.  I kid you not. 🤣

My friend, who does not have Alzeimer's, but still taps all the screens to try his luck!!

Sorry to hear about your grandfather. My dad was recently diagnosed with vascular dementia and alzheimer's. It's been crazy watching his mental acuity slip away day by day.

my 85yo uncle got an ipad preloaded with old country singers music from his son and to watch him time travel while listening is priceless

It's heartwarming that your grandpa still finds joy in simple activities, even if misplaced. Technology can bring comfort in unexpected ways
