Surprised there's not a product for passing along a candidate that you liked but wasn't quite senior enough for your open role but people in your network might want to interview.

There is, and I used it a while back. I forgot what it was called though lol 

Anyways, some problems with that is:
- you’re attaching your personal reputation to someone you’ve only interviewed/talked to a few times 
- this means only adding 1-3 candidates per cycle, so the database is small and not updated often

In theory it works but they really need 100s of recruiters adding good candidates everyday to be useful
