I think with something something AI you’ll be able to dictate a thought and it will connect it up to the rest of your context. One of the biggest issues here is just even if you jot it down it’s annoying to go in later and organize it into the right folder or whatever.

My experience: (I'm sure others' experience may differ) I honestly write down stuff in my notes in a physical notebook,and pretty much never care to read it again. It's almost more the act of writing it down is more important to me than the content

Looking forward to the day that arrives. Around 2010 I started a habit of screenshotting / text copying social media posts. Add reading / listening notes and my own ideas, I’ve got a massive PKB (personal knowledge base). It’s searchable, but there’s a lot that won’t come up without just the right search terms.
