I think with something something AI you’ll be able to dictate a thought and it will connect it up to the rest of your context. One of the biggest issues here is just even if you jot it down it’s annoying to go in later and organize it into the right folder or whatever.

My experience: (I'm sure others' experience may differ) I honestly write down stuff in my notes in a physical notebook,and pretty much never care to read it again. It's almost more the act of writing it down is more important to me than the content

I am def this way with journaling - was doing a daily journaling practice for about 6 months last year and really don’t care to read what I wrote. Might change my mind ofc

I think this is the only benefit *incidentally*, not necessarily. Personally I’m often astonished at the truly good stuff I find in older notes. There should be a system for past thoughts and ideas—however old—to connect up with your present stuff.
