1/ power badge reinforces the need for 'reputation' in social networks and communities. it helps align incentives of the users/community towards meaningful/quality engagement. fighting spam becomes a byproduct. thread ๐

2/ it's evident that just a count of followers, likes, comments doesn't signal quality. 'Who' engages with you matters more than just 'how many' engage with you. it's great to see we're trying to use solutions that have worked before (pagerank).

4/ while a global ranking is useful at a network level, we also need personalized social graphs and rankings contextualized to your own extended network versus a global network voice.

5/ warpcast recently launched Pagerank type algo, which is a great step forward. More clients and apps building on farcaster should be able to use and modify their own ranking/algo layer.
