Build leaderboard puts the focus in the wrong place IMO. Truly a big fan of everything @jessepollak is doing but I think he'd agree, he doesn't need more build. Instead, it'd be great to nudge lesser known builders into the spotlight. Nominating someone unranked and explaining their contributions could be incentivized.

yes, i agree! have discussed with @macedo and know the /build folks are iterating on it - recognizing up and coming builders is absolutely critical!

I will happily admit though, it's a much harder problem to manage the gaming of the system then. We sometimes do what is suboptimal not because we think it's the best but because doing or measuring what we think is the best is orders of magnitude harder.

working on ways to give visibility to under-recognized builders while being able to prevent non-builders to take advantage of the system

also, there will be way for builders with a lot of points to pay them forward
