I was in Chile last Oct and was surprised to see how many Chinese cars there were. They are absolutely dominating many foreign markets, especially in EVs. The US, Germany, and S. Korea are going to have an increasingly difficult time catching up.

💯 i think the software side is hopeless for legacy car makers just as it was with legacy phone makers maybe a big tech should buy / build an open source car OS for non-Chinese and non-Tesla manufacturers a la Android so they can compete
