First time I've made an online restaurant reservation and it asked me if I want to pre-order any food so it's ready once we arrive. I love this!

I just had something similar happen that I've never seen before. My wife and I went to a nice restaurant in Ponta Delgada a few weeks ago and didn't have a reservation so we had to wait. The host took our dinner and drink order when we checked in and we were served soon after we sat down. Great way to turn tables faster!

Not exactly a great way to enhance the experience of a nice dinner, but in this case we were both hungry and a bit jet lagged, so it was welcome. Maybe if it was an option? I can see restaurants loving this idea though.
