the reactions to this PROPOSAL is quite interesting below is my interpretation of the proposal and some personal thoughts. PS. given that many of you perhaps didn't even read through the V2 intro, i'm not holding my breath that you'd read this. but i really hope that you would. 1. i believe some ppl misunderstood the proposal. what it says is that you can tip anyone any amount of $farther at any time, but the person you tipped can not tip you back in $farther if you tipped him first (tip will be invalid), though he can still tip you anything else. and the same goes the other way around. this will reset at the beginning of each cycle. 2. "how do i know if someone tipped me already before i tip him?" an auto-reply bot can be used to alert you if your tip is invalid, akin to the one $degen uses. continue...

The frame said 'season' which is where I didn't agree, if it's just a cycle, no big deal. I appreciate the way farther is differentiating itself and seems more receptive to the community for sure

understood👍 although, if it's cycle, it defeats the purpose of preventing tip farming

Ya it’s a very difficult problem to solve, not something I think can be solved, only a way to limit the farming not completely prevent it. My fear would be that no farther tippers would tip each other, out of concern they wouldn’t receive any in return, and let’s be honest, not receiving tips in a token you “invested” in to be able to tip isn’t much fun. I get it’s not the sole purpose of the app, just an added bonus. And if none of the 400ish tippers are receiving any farther tips, would they turn around and sell and give up on farther altogether? Idk just spit balling the thoughts that run through my head 🤷🏻‍♂️😆

i hear ya but the "not fun" part is something i don't really understand tbh. if "i tip you so you tip me back" is the main "fun", then all existing tipping tokens by default are designed for farmers. farther v2 is not in that business. essentially, it turned tipping into investment. let's look at degen for instance, what is the incentive for you to tip someone degen? 1) so they can tip you back 2) engagement farming 3) reward content creators and 1) probably is the most common incentive for most ppl if we are being honest. i have allowance of a token i can't sell directly, so let's trade it with each other. in v2, you as a tipper, your way of earning $farther is not by being tipped back anymore, but increasing your tipping scores by tipping high growth account, and then the higher your score is, the more $farther you can earn from a reward pool by the end of each cycle basically, v2 has a totally different incentive model for tippers.

I agree the model is more of a gamification. People need to read into this more and study it. I personally like the fact that it’s different from the others. I think the proposed frame wasn’t well taken because of lack of understanding how V2 will work, and I myself am understanding better as we continue to talk about it. If something like that was voted in favor, you can look at it as almost a defensive tactic, if I tip you, you cannot tip me and therefor gain points on any potential positive openrank value I may have
