🌶️ I don't think memecoin traders are in it for a "profit" any more than lottery ticket buyers are. They're spending money to chase the thrilling idea that their life might change not by a little bit, but by a lot.

To me it feels like a reasonable position.

I grew up with several family members aggressively courted by Atlantic City to gamble.

They thought the casinos were their friends since they’d send them free rooms, concert tickets, dinners.

I love that we have permissionless systems that let us build whatever we want, but I don’t buy that memecoin trading is different than casinos.
