pt 2 of the DEI convo is Ackman's latest manifesto contained within we hear 'weaponization of #MeToo allegations', and I am very concerned we are going to see an already hostile environment to survivors become worse https://twitter.com/BillAckman/status/1743792224020619450

Fundamentals of DEI remind me of the fundamentals of crypto- net good for society and increases opportunity for more people globally. There will be many set backs but will keep getting better generation after generation. I could be v wrong but it’s how I’m feeling about all this right now

The people with knee jerk “dei=evil” sound to me like the anti crypto crowd who point to scams and fraud

But on the flip side Tim Urban’s comment has kinda been haunting me 😥 And this is what I meant when the internet needs to flatten and compress complex concepts into a singular narrative when we are all not on the same timeline https://x.com/waitbutwhy/status/1742934336360615960?s=46&t=NL3QJzRfwEGFccYAB1_vMA

Looking back, it seems DEI was largely a failure for everyone besides a small group who got to capture some power. Companies would talk “DEI” while continuing to allow underpayment, harassment, and sometimes assault of employees. Maybe I’m wrong, did anyone have good DEI experiences?
