as much as I don't love US gun culture, I also don't feel safe in my home in canada and can't legally own *any* firearm to protect myself or my family. and to add salt to the wound, you also risk prosecution for defending yourself against home invasion or other intruders.

I love self defense. Relying on the state for self defense is a slippery slope.
