I think people should be able to see how many others are blocking, muting, ghosting them - and what topics they are engaging with are forcefully ignored.

Knowing how many people are voluntarily there and how many people walk out are important signals to get a stronger sense of reality and approval.

I think showing who is muting who would lead to less individual freedom overall.

People with less power would be afraid to mute people with more power. 

Seeing muted topics would be cool and model interest in topics instead of power dynamics.

I think that makes a lot of sense with non public identities!

With public identities it really depends on what you’re trying to measure. I have many people muted on Twitter who it would hurt my career to reveal the muting to, and similarly try to be polite to several people in person to not cause unnecessary frictio

I agree we shouldn’t make identities public. But counts of “avoidance” I think are very valuable signals. In our physical world, these signs are everywhere (people shifting eyes, body language of awkwardness or discomfort, etc.) we should have the equivalent digitally I think.
