Would love to hear more thoughts on “shipping fast” – specifically, how do you balance accruing code debt with delivering features? Because on some time horizon, code debt will make you move slower. Do you have a philosophy around making these kinds of trade-offs?

Merkle should spend less money building features and more money astroturfing interesting people to use Farcaster. Kidding (sort of).

Would be curious to read the evolution and current state of Farcaster analyzed through this “Status as a Service” framework (ideally from someone that joined very early on). https://www.eugenewei.com/blog/2019/2/19/status-as-a-service I believe @dwr.eth has recommended this blog post himself

Is there a low-res, text only Farcaster client? All my social feeds have become oversaturated with images, memes, features, buttons, etc. I just want simple ideas in text.

True, more of a differentiation in marketing / implementation / BD in its current state. Will be curious to see if / how they end up diverging technically over time

If the wallet is open source - like Backpack - then yes. Phantom is closed source, so you’d have to trust them. But again - all extensions can do this already if they want to, including Ethereum wallets.

Frames and Blinks are similar but fundamentally different things. Frames have the advantage of the incorporating Farcaster data. Blinks are meant to work across the web. Both are very cool. Both push web3 forward.

Also, extension wallets already have access to your entire webpage, and most are implementing this as opt-in per website

They’re not uploading links to the cloud, they’re making GET requests

Just a matter of time. When the majority of users know how to code + they’re super powered by AI tools, the limitations of closed platforms will be much more palpable. https://packets.substack.com/p/the-bull-case-for-open-platforms

A week ago I sold out an NFT collection that uses a new standard called “holder-editable metadata,” which is inspired by Farcaster’s architecture. Would love to have friends here involved. Check it out 👽 https://x.com/garden___labs/status/1783133714706297296?s=46

How do Solana peeps feel about Farcaster? Does it feel like Solana will always be a second-class citizen? Does it make sense to support a more Solana native platform?
