Any idea why my points tipped to me might have gone down by some 15%?

Is there some clawback happening if people who get banned have tipped me? Seems too large but am wondering why points go down.

Yes, if the donor (tipper) is DQ, their tip allowance disappears and so the tip is invalidated. DQ list was updated a few days ago, and I also noticed a small points drop (much less than 15%, but it's possible if you got a big couple of tips from people who got DQd later)
