Linux is still too messy for a daily driver IMO:

- Ubuntu: snaps are dumb e.g. I can't use a locally installed font in a snap-installed browser

- Mint: second time in 6 months now where I'm stuck with a problem where the only solution seems to be a complete reinstall

Cinnamon is completely broken. No panel at the bottom of the screen, no shortcuts, no window controls. No microphone or audio but my camera works. Nothing I've tried works - reinstalling cinnamon packages, timeshift etc. r

What happens that you need to reinstall completely?
