Man, where I live (South Africa) I never see marbling like this on meat... Is this common or did you go to a speciality butcher?

That's insane. I think I need to talk to our local butcher maybe, I always see marbling like this in American cooking videos and thought they went all out for the video but if it's a common thing in grocery stores there then I'm getting ripped off here 😅

Ahhh bummer! Yes, this was at my local grocery store. In addition to medium quality beef (USDA Choice), they also have USDA Prime and American Wagyu, which has a higher level of marbling.
