Yeah that's a fair point. I do think it plays less though in a world where switching costs are minimal. Over time great teams build a bunch of great products with less defensible moats. People use Coinbase (not onchain) but the story is much less clear for Coinbase Wallet (vs. other wallets).

true though would argue metamask desktop and rainbow mobile are in similar places today w.r.t. self custody wallets 

cb wallet was just slower to move into that product area

other wallets could charge lower fee than metamask swap but people dont really switch that often with their primary seed phrase

Feels like we're still early in onchain growth tactics, don't switch is very different from can't switch due to walled gardens (good for competition, may the best app win!)
