What was the problem you tried to solve behind summarise conversation? Of often is that api endpoint used?

Developers were fetching long threads, summarizing them and passing the summary as context with a prompt to an LLM. So this reduced that to one step. Why do you ask?

Because we’re doing similar things in Discord and Telegram (fetching posts, summarizing and analysing) and I’m looking for evidence that we should (not) make those available to devs. My thesis is that most devs don’t enjoy cleaning, structuring and transforming data from unstructured text to structured data
