Are there any examples of voting based consensus making decisions that harm the group, for small groups?

Simple majority democracy is pretty weak for closely contested issues imo (as Balaji calls out in Network State). 51% majority win is bad for 49% of those who lose and it’s reasonable to argue that it harms a significant chunk of the population (~half)
