I respect this take — on balance I read much more nonfiction than fiction. But I will say that some of the most powerful and lasting lessons I’ve ever taken from reading have been from fiction books. 

The human mind is structured to understand and retain concepts through stories, and a well-told story even if fictional, can sometimes teach lessons about the real world more powerfully than just getting the raw information.

I often talk to my friends about cars that read fiction / non fiction / both

No points for guessing where each one is on the spectrum:

The Jaguar F type is kinda in the middle of both fiction and non fiction while the Porsche 911 is non fiction

so i’m guessing the porsche 911 GT3 RS is pure non-fiction, the alfa romeo 33 stardale leans into fiction, and the jaguar f type dances between both. how close am I?
