Well it was actually always the plan overall but it’s basically the crypto to AI pivot
This taps on my overall principled objection to podcasts. When you read an essay, you go direct to the source, and you can live-curate, in the sense that it is easy a) to decide to stop reading a skip a paragraph, and b) to pick where to tune back in
Part B is so hard on a podcast, because you can’t quickly read ahead to scan what comes next
As a result, you delegate to the podcast host to live-curate for you: in the recording moment, they decide what Qs to ask, when to cut the person off, etc. This is difficult (I did lots of Culture3 pods!)
This is my objection. I do not want to delegate this editorial responsibility to someone else, and explains why a good host is critical for a good podcast 1 reply
