Noboribetsu Onsen is the northernmost large scale Onsen resort in Japan. It’s famous not only for its abundance hot springs, but also because it has nine different types of Onsen water! As of this trip, I’ve bathed in all 9! It took me 1 public bath and 3 hotels to accomplish this! The town is protected by great demons. Legend says they live in Hell’s Valley, which is the source for all the hot spring water in the town!

Amazing. They are all good for different things and my body feels lighter after soaking. Hot springs are one of my favorite things about Japan.
