i consider your position here reasonable. i guess i don’t put much weight on these analyses bc they assume that the policies can be passed the way they are stated, among other issues.

i agree it wont be smooth. it will be a massive shakeup and media will be against it the whole way. if we don’t make serious changes then we are all going down no matter how rich. ill take the short term impact to raise my kids in an america with sounder footing. i also believe we’ll have more money to spend on wellbeing of our citizens on the other side. its actually a progressive agenda, not a conservative one.

i think elon can see spacex vs nasa, and understands that the whole gov is bloated & inefficient in the same way. it will be carnage at first, but only by the standards of people who like/benefit from the bloat. similar to twitter. i agree it will be more like twitter elon but maybe not in the way you mean.

yeah im generally bearish on this format, but it could work for projects borrowing from existing games that already worked in a prev era and adapting them to crypto. similar to dtc in that way. product is already proven out. could even be good businesses but unlikely to be capital S startups

i doubt it. but that opinion is marinated in my own bias + beliefs about where that founder magic comes from and what it takes to build that kind of company over the long haul. i don’t think a hired gun ceo could have built airbnb for example.

yeah i think its an industry where there is a formula, someone spots the opportunity in the market and it’s a clear equation to optimize to undercut artificially bloated wholesale brands. combined with internet native ads against legacy brands (like Gilette). in Hims case it was the viagra patent expiring.

i read somewhere that he wanted to partner with zyn but they don't like the way he advocates for the product to be used, and the benefits he cites. so they turned him down. zyn has been pretty good about not getting involved with influencers and staying out of the legal trap that juul fell into.
