a few months ago i had an exciting but overwhelming startup idea, and a few weeks ago i casually mentioned it to a dev i know from farcaster, and he said, “i want to build this with you.” it still feels unreal, but here we are. so i had a call today with a designer he was already working with (also from farcaster) — the first meeting just to get to know each other. i asked if they could turn on their camera, but they said no. “what’s the point of a first call if we can’t even see each other?” two minutes later, we agreed it wasn’t going to work. now, i’m curious: is it common in crypto to work with people who prefer to stay faceless? would you start a project with someone who refuses a video call? also, still looking for a designer

I think a good chunk of people here prefer anonymity, or at least pseudonymity. I myself prefer to keep my face hidden on calls. What type of project you working on? I don't have a lot of designer experience but looking to break in.
