Coinbase ,the consumer app, is not keeping up with the financial nihilism of the moment. it fits in the wider socioeconomic narrative as part of the establishment. this is proof of both how far crypto has come, and how unhappy society has gotten. it feels more like a bank than a casino, in a way that’s fairly consistent with how it has positioned itself. but it is more important now than ever for the company to throw more serious weight behind Base to future proof itself.
