Doing the same things over and over again, ritualistically makes life go faster it seems. Doing things that are new makes life feel like it goes slower Yet by putting yourself in a position where you are constantly doing new things over and over again - it puts you back again, where you started - doing the same (new) things over and over again

For me, everyday is different because I live with chronic pain and never know what I’m going to wake up to and how I’ll need to pivot. I can’t make plans because they most likely will be changed depending on what my body does. I’ve learnt to enjoy the tiniest pleasures because of this and let go and live with the mundane moments that the pain creates. Everyday is different yet also very much the same.

What is your chronic pain if I may ask? I have chronic back pain for 10 years but this year I’m finally making tea and lasting progress. It’s in the brain…but the pain is real…
