As a former specialist, this really helped me understand the value of being a generalist (and being confident in becoming one)! Incredible how so many famous artists in history looked like utter failures jumping around, only for that to be their greatest strength! cc @heavygweit has a good blog post on this as well!

I was just discussing this book with a friend last month. She had read it, but had not heard of the concept of someone being T-shaped. She is the head of a new non-profit and I sketched out for her how she can use the concept to build out the organization.
