Thanks Danica — added two of your publications to the new writer dashboard, editor, and paragraph.xyz homepage. It should update sometime today. Please let us know any bugs, thoughts, or questions — very curious to hear your feedback! :)

I'll need to play around with the dashboard changes for a few days before I have more to say about that. But it looks really clean and slick. Overall, my first impression is very favorable! *Especially* for the way the Home page displays my subscriptions, trending, and recently published articles so that I can quickly scan the header images, the first paragraph, and the collectors' PFPs. Love that. Is switching to dark mode still an option? If so, I didn't find where to toggle it on/off.

Thank you, Danica! Really appreciate the kind words. :) No dark mode quite yet, but will most likely add it soon!

More feedback on the new dashboard: 1) I think the black “publish” button in the upper right corner needs some clarification. It used to say “continue.” Even as an experienced user, I hesitate to click that without some indication of what will happen when I do. Will I have a chance to preview? Right now it looks like it might just publish the piece as-is as soon as I click the button. 2) When I do click "publish," I'm wondering what happened to the tab with the "format as HTML" option and the option to switch to a different chain for each post. I've got my default chain selected (Zora) in the settings, but recently I was planning to publish a post on the Base chain by reader request, and without that reminder, I forgot to switch the chain. 3) If I back out of the "publish" flow (slug, keywords, etc.), my info isn't saved and I have to re-enter it. Frustrating. 4) Seems keywords can no longer be two words? The text box wouldn't accept "value flows," for example (only "valueflows"). cc @colin

5) I see the "home" page layout ("For You" and "Your Subscriptions") is now a vertical scroll instead of horizontal as it was a couple of weeks ago. I read newsletters on desktop most frequently, so I miss the horizontal layout with the left-to-right navigation. Made it very easy to scan for me without needing to scroll. I imagine most people read on mobile, but... could we have an option to toggle that on and off, maybe? Hope all of this makes sense. Overall, I'm quite happy with the new dashboard!

Super helpful feedback, thank you!! Means a lot to us that you took the time to write such thoughtful feedback for us. Sharing a few thoughts below — know you've already shared a lot, but any extra thoughts or feedback would be much appreciated! 1) Totally agree — I've felt a little hesitant about pushing "Publish" for the same reason. We used to have "Continue", which didn't quite feel right either. Would love to hear any suggestions!

2) We tried to streamline the publish flow a bit — there were *a lot* of settings, most of which were rarely used and/or distracted writers from the thing that really matters: writing, publishing their work, and sharing it. We had to make some hard choices on what to show in the publish flow. We ultimately felt that determining which chain to publish to was more of a publication setting — it's very rare for a writer don't switch on a post-to-post basis. Still, it's possible to switch the chain for a particular post in the publication settings by clicking "Manage collectible settings" in the "Advanced settings" modal.

3) This feels like a bug — thank you! 4) I recall someone else mentioning this. Will dig into it. 5) We wrestled back & forth with this one too. Ultimately, we felt like the row-oriented approach to discovery often resulted in the Netflix-style endless scroll vs. actually finding something great to read. We felt like we could do a better job at discovery through a feed-centric approach and wanted to give that our best shot for now. We'd also like to bring in new types of media to the feed, like quotes, comments, valuable actions (minting, sharing, subscribing), and tie-in's with Farcaster & other social platforms. Very possible we go back to a row-based approach to /home, so really appreciate the feedback! Danica, thank you again for all this wonderful feedback, we seriously appreciate it! 🙏

Quick update on #3 — we pushed a fix for this fairly recently (last week-ish). Have you experienced this issue in the past day or so?

Ah, thank you for the detailed responses to all my points! I'll give all this some more thought and will return to this thread if I have any more feedback. For now, a quick response to #3: last time I experienced that issue was on Saturday, so a few days ago. Haven't published anything since.
