here's an idea:

1. coin a piece of content
2. show an ad next to the content
3. use the revenue from the ad to buy and burn the coin

that's a smart coin. self sustaining from revenue generated by attention.

Very cool idea!

If it's programmatic ads, this may be hard to prove out in the immediate term as you kind of need scale to drive meaningful revenue.

While it takes a lot more effort, if the creator is working directly with a sponsor, that could work today. 

From a tax perspective, it may actually be better for the sponsor to buy the token directly (maybe w/ a requirement to burn it). Creator doesn't have to recognize any income, but the token they presumably hold for their work would increase in value.
