I’m starting to see projects building functionality directly into X. Most have to do it in an annoying kludgy way like injecting html buttons via a chrome plugin. No one wants to download plugins, tho. I think @warpcast has a huge opportunity to build out open standards for custom functionality/buttons/emojis, etc. The way to win imo is treading deeper into the areas where X is afraid to relinquish control.

@CrytpoDyor @warpcast_ Frames and blinks are heading this way. Not sure you have to avoid plugins per say, tho. You could  just make a plugin framework directly on X or Warpcaster, so people can install the functionality they want rather than going to off-site external plugin store like Chrome's.

With an open framework, protocols can build functionality directly into the social network... that would eliminate the need for users to go to different screens. Essentially just lowers friction between desired action and outcome...
