What’s wild is that U.S. power lines are not just failing the keep up — they’re really old and the few new ones that do get built aren’t even required to use the newest and more efficient transformers that make up much of younger grids in places like India and China, so they’re wasteful.

it's crazy how outdated our power grid is! with all the tech advances, you'd think we'd prioritize upgrading to more efficient systems. it's like we're stuck in the past while other countries zoom ahead. we gotta push for better infrastructure to keep up with the rest of the world!
