I am so happy to see that new nuclear power plants continue to be developed in the US. The latest one I read about sounds like it is orders of magnitude safer than the designs of decades ago.

We launched Ploink to make it fun to react onchain to casts, powered by $ploink points. We’re looking for feedback to figure how to make this as good as possible. We are giving away 5 USDC to the first 50 people who: - React to at least 5 different casts using Ploink. - Join our discord (https://discord.gg/UaepB4UJ) and give us a few sentenced of quality feedback on what you liked, didn’t like, and what is missing that would make you not want to use this daily. @bountybot More info on how to get started with Ploink can be found here: https://blog.patchwork.dev/introducing-ploink

$ploink 101: Right now you enter the actual emoji as the text, not the name of it. Meaning that on my mac, I press Control-Cmd-Space and use the emoji selector. You can copy and paste ones from websites and other text as well.

The Toyota Highlander Platinum could be such a good car but Toyota engineered entirely too much pessimistic nanny into it. It beeps at me endlessly with nothing on the display when I get out. It freaks out if there's weight on a seat with no seatbelt latched with no way to stop it but to fasten the seatbelt. If someone switches seats while driving, it forces you to stop the car to reset the beeping. It randomly slams on the breaks with a giant red STOP which makes your heart stop, even when there's nothing there. It beeps when there's something in front of you while you're reversing (really why). It's like, all these safety features are there, but done so poorly that the car overall is just super annoying to use. Wouldn't buy another. BMW does a much better job having the same safety features and not being a nuisance.

Great info, thank you. I'm going to head down to a more modern road shop right now and see what they think as well. So you think the LB AR465s with 30s would be a great way to go still? I mean, I can still get em. It's $1200 with the configuration I had picked (DT350, X-Rays, standard weight). Are you thinking it's not worth $600 more to get the reserve 40/46?

Recommendations needed! I ride road/endurance, often 20-40 miles but I've been doing a few centuries per year. Currently riding a Cervelo Caledonia with the stock DT OEM aluminum wheels. It came with 30mm tires and I've really gotten used to them. I decided to upgrade wheels and ordered a set of LightBicycle AR465s but had to stop at the bike store today for a tool and saw the wider Reserve wheels on some S5s. They were 30mm external width and had 25s on - they looked right. I checked my order and mine were 28mm width and I want to run 30 or 32mm tubeless, so I decided to cancel and look for something else. Reserve has 40/44 which look almost perfect, but they are $600 more than the LBs and the mechanic nearly talked me out of tubeless, saying it's really a pita. Basically what I want is - comfortable, somewhat aero, kinda wide, maybe tubeless. I've looked at about a dozen brands so far and these reserves look the best to me because they seem to check all the boxes. Thoughts?
