I’m doing more normie interviews (e.g. ABC, Bloomberg, etc.) now and I’m trying to get non-crypto people excited about crypto apps they might be using in the next 2-5 years. Obvious ones I use are stablecoins, NFTs for tickets, opening up gaming economies. But what are some others I should be highlighting?

I think that in the next 2-5 years, the most frequently used web3 applications by the normies will be the boring but essential ones. For example, single sign-on with a crypto wallet will eliminate the need to remember passwords. Cryptographic signatures will secure important documents like loans, medical records, education certificates, and leases. Digital IDs, protected by cryptography, will enable on-chain voting. On-chain global supply chain management will increase customer trust in the origins of their groceries and restaurant ingredients. Etc. Etc.

I agree about single sign on, that’s an extremely useful one. But I think it’s going to take a loooong time for cryptographic signatures to penetrate the loan / medical markets. Some doctors and title companies still use fax machines!
