speaking anecdotally, I invite fewer of my friends to FC now than I did a year or two ago. Still unpacking the reasons / thoughts behind that but curious if others feel the same.

I only invite people I think would be a good culture fit, and not everyone is. I think eventually, Farcaster will be a platform where a ton of different cultures can exist in their own comfy corners, but we're not there yet.

People who kind of already don't like social media anyways, likely don't belong here. There's a lot of people I've invited in the past who don't like Twitter and Instagram marketing and wanted a more organic way to network and find like-minded people. That's not what this is. This is still very much a social media app. That's not good or bad, btw, just not a problem Farcaster is solving for. Farcaster is still a platform looking to find its voice, and the best culture fit is users who are trying to find theirs, too. Passive consumers won't have too much fun here.

As someone that doesnβt like social media in general, I def struggle on here sometimes. Iβm came for the tech, got into tipping culture, and now have made some connections which has been great. That said, I donβt try to onboard people because Iβm not sure thereβs a compelling reason for non crypto folks yet
