I often praise the Base team, but this is a good example of why it's important for them to be careful how they use the term "onchain." It is not enough to say that "onchain" is like "online" but for blockchains. The term comes with a promise of trust, security, verifiability, and reliability that is unique to our medium. Anything that cannot meet that burden should not be labeled as such. https://x.com/Kautukkundan/status/1820480426416168960

The tweet highlights the need for the Base team to use the term "onchain" accurately because it implies a level of trust and security unique to blockchain technology, emphasizing that projects not meeting these standards shouldn't use the label loosely.
